Linkpop Alternatives for Shopify Stores After the Shutdown
· by ExclusiveLink
Linkpop, Shopify's free link in bio tool, shut down on July 7, 2025. You can no longer log in, edit a page or download the app, and the Shopify App Store listing now reads "This app is not currently available". For a Shopify store the closest replacement is a Shopify app that syncs your products to a bio page, such as bitLink or LinkShop. If the bio link also has to track creators, run timed drops or live on your own domain, a tracked bio page that deep links into your store does that job.
The part most stores miss is the old link itself. When we checked linkpop.com on October 14, 2026, the root address redirected to shopify.com and some profile addresses returned "The page you're looking for couldn't be found". A bio that still points at linkpop.com/yourstore is either a frozen page you cannot update or a dead end. Check yours before reading further.

What happened to Linkpop?
Shopify discontinued Linkpop on July 7, 2025 and did not publish a detailed reason. From that date users could not create pages, update existing ones, download the app or log in. Pages already published were left up as they were, which is why some stores never noticed: their bio still loaded, it just stopped changing.
A frozen page is worse than it sounds for a store. Products sell out, prices change, a sale ends, and the page keeps advertising the old state with no way to fix it. Product selling from the page was Linkpop's main feature, and it was tied to the same Shopify connection that ended. Links out to other sites kept working on pages that survived, but nothing on them can be edited.

The options a Shopify store actually shortlists, with the price on each vendor's own listing or pricing page, monthly billing. Checkout stays in your Shopify store on every option here, so your payment settings and order flow do not change.
| Option | Price per month | Synced products | Own domain | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| bitLink | Free plan, paid plans | Yes, live prices and stock | Yes | Shopify-only brands with a large catalog |
| LinkShop | $15 | Yes | Check the listing | A bio page that looks like a mini shop |
| Linktree with its Shopify app | Free, $8, $15, $35 | Yes, a product block | Not offered at any price | Stores that want a familiar page fast |
| Beacons | Free, $10, $30, $100 | No | From the $10 plan | A creator with a side merch store |
| A page on your own store | Included in Shopify | Yes, it is your store | Yes | Stores with a theme developer on hand |
| ExclusiveLink | $49, $99, $149 (half on yearly) | No, deep links to products | From Pro, self-serve | Brands with creator programs, drops and several stores |
The last row is ours, so read it as a vendor's row. bitLink and LinkShop figures are from their Shopify App Store listings, Linktree and Beacons from their pricing pages and help centers. On price alone, bitLink's free plan beats everything else in this table.
What is the best Linkpop alternative for Shopify?
For a store that only sells on Shopify and used Linkpop as a product grid, bitLink is the closest like-for-like swap. Its listing says it pulls live products, prices and stock, runs on your own domain and tracks clicks with UTM tags. It also has a free plan, so the move costs nothing to test. That is the honest default answer and most small stores can stop there.
The answer changes once the bio link has more than one job. Three situations push a store past a product grid:
- You pay creators to post. Ten seeded creators sending traffic through one shared page give you one blended number. You want each creator's clicks and orders on their own line, so you know whom to rebook.
- You run drops. A launch needs a link that opens at a set hour, a list of people who asked to be first, and a page that changes when stock runs out. A synced grid shows whatever is live, which is the wrong thing before launch.
- You sell outside Shopify. A brand with an Amazon storefront, a TikTok Shop or a wholesale form needs a page that treats every destination the same, not one built around one catalog.
Those are the cases our link in bio for Shopify page is built for, and the wider setup across stores is on link in bio for ecommerce.
Is there a free Linkpop replacement?
Yes. bitLink lists a free plan, Linktree's Free plan works with its Shopify app, and Beacons has a Free tier. You can also build a links page inside your Shopify theme at no extra cost beyond the Shopify plan you already pay for. The free options carry the host's branding and, except for the theme page and bitLink, put your bio on someone else's address.
Free is the right call for a store doing a handful of social orders a month. It stops being cheap when you cannot tell which post or creator sold the stock, because then every content budget decision is a guess. That is the point where a paid tool earns back its price.
Where ExclusiveLink fits, and where it does not
We do not sync your Shopify catalog and will not pretend to. Each button deep links to a product or collection page, so price, stock and checkout stay in your store and nothing on the bio page goes stale. What you get instead is the part the Shopify apps are not built around.
Clicks by source
Reports split by the platform or post that sent the tap, and on Pro each link carries its own UTM tags so orders land against the creator who drove them.
Drops on a schedule
A drop link opens Friday at 9 a.m. and closes when you say so, while an email-locked preview builds the launch list in the days before.
Your own domain
Pro runs the page on shop.yourbrand.com, connected from your panel. If you ever leave, the address stays yours, which is the lesson Linkpop taught.
A page per creator or brand
Studio at $149 gives each seeded creator or each brand its own page, with every email collected exportable to CSV on every plan.
Store orders carry no fee from us, because the sale happens in Shopify. Our 2% Creator fee and 0% Pro fee only apply to paid links you sell through the page itself. If a product grid is all you need, take bitLink and keep the money. If you are paying creators and running launches, the pricing page lists what each plan includes, and link in bio tracking shows the reports in detail.
How to replace Linkpop without losing sales
- Find every old link. Search your Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest and X bios, pinned posts, email footers, packaging inserts and QR codes for linkpop.com. Printed QR codes are the ones stores forget.
- Pick the address you will keep for years. A subdomain like shop.yourbrand.com survives any future tool change. A vendor address does not, which is exactly how Linkpop users got stuck, and how Tap Bio users are stuck now with its October 31, 2026 shutdown (see our Tap Bio alternatives).
- Rebuild the page from your current catalog, not from the frozen Linkpop page. Drop sold-out products and anything tied to a finished sale.
- Tag each destination with UTM parameters per platform, so Shopify analytics shows orders from Instagram and TikTok separately from the first day.
- Swap the bio links on the same day, starting with the platform that sends the most traffic, and test each one on a phone.
- Refresh the ads that point at social. A new page usually means new creative too, and a tool that turns a product URL into ad copy and images gets a first set ready while the old campaigns still run.

Linkpop alternative questions
Is Linkpop still working?
No. Linkpop shut down on July 7, 2025. Logins, edits and new pages stopped on that date and the app is no longer available on the Shopify App Store. Some published pages still load in a frozen state, others now return a page not found message, and linkpop.com redirects to shopify.com.
Did Shopify replace Linkpop with another app?
Shopify did not launch a direct successor. Stores now use third-party apps from the Shopify App Store, such as bitLink or LinkShop, a general link in bio tool with a Shopify connection like Linktree, or a links page built inside their own theme.
Can I move my Linkpop page to another tool?
Not automatically. With logins disabled there is no export, so you rebuild the page in the new tool. For most stores that takes under an hour, and it is a good moment to drop products that sold out while the old page was frozen.
Does Linktree work with Shopify?
Yes. Linktree has a Shopify app that adds a product block to your Linktree, with checkout in your store, on its Free, $8, $15 and $35 plans. Linktree's help center says it does not offer a custom domain, so the bio stays on linktr.ee. Our Linktree Shopify integration alternatives article compares it in detail.
