The short answer
The best Pillar alternative depends on what you sell. If you sell digital downloads, private links, presets, guides or paid access from a bio link, ExclusiveLink Pro costs $49 a month with a 0% platform fee and a custom domain, the two things Pillar reserves for its $129 Entrepreneur plan. Pillar's $39 Creator plan charges a 5% seller fee and has no custom domain.
If you run courses, sell calendar bookings, need buy now pay later or event tickets, Pillar does more than we do and is worth its price. Stan Store is the cheapest flat-fee storefront at $29 with 0% fees, but it has no custom domain at any tier.
Why creators look for a Pillar alternative
Pillar is priced for the whole business. Most bio links are not the whole business.
Three things push people off Pillar, and all three show up on its own pricing page.
The fee sits on the entry plan
Pillar's Creator plan is $39 a month, or $29 on annual billing, and it lists a 5% seller fee. Sell $3,000 of templates in a month and that fee is $150, on top of the subscription and card processing. The fee only goes to 0% when you move to Entrepreneur.
Your own domain costs $129
A custom domain store appears on Pillar's Entrepreneur plan, not on Creator. That is $129 a month billed monthly, or $99 a month on a yearly plan, to put the store on yourname.com. On ExclusiveLink the domain comes with Pro at $49.
You pay for the features you skip
Course builder, invoicing, a QR business card, AI credits, funnels, a media kit that updates itself. Useful for a creator running a school. Dead weight for a photographer selling presets or a writer gating a PDF, who needs a fast page, a lock on the right link, and a clean report of what sold.
What you actually pay
Pillar vs ExclusiveLink at three sales levels
Subscription plus platform fee, per month, in USD. Card processing (Stripe's standard 2.9% plus 30 cents) is left out because every tool here charges it, including ours.
| Plan | Custom domain | $1,000 in sales | $3,000 in sales | $10,000 in sales |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pillar Creator, monthly ($39 + 5%) | No | $89 | $189 | $539 |
| Pillar Creator, annual ($29 + 5%) | No | $79 | $179 | $529 |
| Pillar Entrepreneur, monthly ($129, 0%) | Yes | $129 | $129 | $129 |
| Pillar Entrepreneur, annual ($99, 0%) | Yes | $99 | $99 | $99 |
| ExclusiveLink Creator ($19 + 2%) | No | $39 | $79 | $219 |
| ExclusiveLink Pro, monthly ($49, 0%) | Yes | $49 | $49 | $49 |
| ExclusiveLink Pro, annual ($39, 0%) | Yes | $39 | $39 | $39 |
At $3,000 a month in sales, the gap between Pillar Creator on monthly billing and ExclusiveLink Pro is $140 a month, or $1,680 a year, and Pro puts the page on your domain while Pillar Creator does not. Against Entrepreneur the gap is $80 a month for the same domain and the same 0% fee. Pillar prices come from pillar.io/pricing, checked in September 2026. Our own plans are on the pricing page, and the full breakdown of Pillar's tiers is in Pillar pricing: Creator vs Entrepreneur plans and fees.
Being straight with you
Where Pillar wins, and where we do
Pillar is an all-in-one creator store. ExclusiveLink is a link in bio built to sell. Different products, and the table says so.
| Capability | Pillar | ExclusiveLink |
|---|---|---|
| Entry price | $39 a month ($29 annual) | $19 a month ($15 annual) |
| Platform fee on sales | 5% on Creator, 0% on Entrepreneur | 2% on Creator, 0% on Pro and above |
| Custom domain | From Entrepreneur, $129 ($99 annual) | From Pro, $49 ($39 annual) |
| Email-gated and paid links | Digital products and lead magnets in the store | Any link on the page can be locked behind an email or a price |
| Online course builder | Yes, from Creator | No. Gate the link to your course host instead |
| Calendar bookings and invoicing | Yes, from Creator | No. Sell a paid link to your scheduler instead |
| Buy now pay later, event tickets | Yes, on Entrepreneur | No |
| Media kit and brand deal reports | Media kit from Creator, brand deal reports on Entrepreneur | Gate your media kit PDF to capture every brand's email |
| Per-link revenue analytics | Store sales reporting | Revenue by link, source and day on Pro, with UTM, geo and device |
| Several creators, one account | Not listed on the pricing page | Studio: 10 pages, 3 seats, roster CSV export, $149 |
| Platform branding on your page | Not listed on the pricing page | Never, on any plan |
"Not listed" means the feature does not appear on Pillar's public pricing page when we checked it, not that Pillar lacks it. If a row matters to your decision, confirm with Pillar before you cancel anything.
Who it is for
Switch if you sell from links. Stay if you run a school.
ExclusiveLink is the better buy if you
- Sell presets, templates, guides, private feeds or paid access, delivered as a file or a URL.
- Want the page on your own domain without paying $129 a month for it.
- Grow a list by gating free material behind an email, and want to see which link brought each address.
- Run pages for several creators and report on all of them from one export, which is what the link in bio for agencies setup covers.
Stay on Pillar if you
- Host your courses inside Pillar and your students log in there.
- Take most of your revenue as booked calls or invoices sent from the store.
- Depend on buy now pay later to sell a high-ticket program.
- Use the brand deal reports weekly. Moving means rebuilding that workflow somewhere else, and that has a cost too.
Coaches who mostly sell sessions and a program sit in the middle. The link in bio for coaches page shows how a coach runs sales through gated and paid links while keeping the booking tool they already pay for. If you are also weighing Stan Store, the Stan Store alternative page runs the same comparison against Stan's $29 and $99 plans.
How it works
Moving from Pillar in four steps
Do it in this order and nobody who taps your bio link hits a dead page.
1
List what earns
Export or note your products, prices and the links that got clicked in the last 90 days. Most stores find two or three items carry the revenue. Rebuild those, not the whole shelf.
2
Rebuild with gates
Add each product as a paid link that unlocks the file or URL, and each lead magnet as an email-gated link. Connect Stripe and buy your own cheapest item once to watch the delivery work.
3
Point your domain
On Pro, add your domain and copy one DNS record into your registrar. The SSL certificate issues on its own. The record by record walkthrough is on the custom domain link in bio page.
4
Swap the bio link, then cancel
Change the link on every profile in one sitting. Keep Pillar live until your billing period ends so old links in past posts still resolve, then cancel before the renewal date.
If your domain already points at Pillar, step 3 moves it, and the old store stops answering on that address as soon as DNS updates. Do step 3 last on a quiet day for that reason.

What is a good alternative to Pillar?
For creators who sell downloads and paid access from a bio link, ExclusiveLink Pro is the closest match at a lower price: $49 a month with 0% platform fee and a custom domain. Stan Store is the cheapest flat storefront at $29 with 0% fees but no custom domain. Beacons adds a custom domain on paid plans with 0% fees from $30.
How much does Pillar cost?
Pillar's pricing page lists Creator at $39 a month and Entrepreneur at $129, or $29 and $99 a month on annual billing. Professional is $399 a month billed annually, with monthly pricing on request. Creator carries a 5% seller fee; Entrepreneur and above list 0%. We did not see a free plan listed.
Does Pillar take a percentage of sales?
Yes, on the Creator plan. Pillar lists a 5% seller fee at $39 a month (or $29 on annual billing), and 0% on Entrepreneur and Professional. Card processing is charged separately on every plan. ExclusiveLink charges 2% on Creator and 0% on Pro and above.
Can I use my own domain on Pillar?
Yes, but not on the entry plan. Pillar lists a custom domain creator store on Entrepreneur, which is $129 a month or $99 on annual billing. ExclusiveLink includes a custom domain on Pro at $49 a month, or $39 billed yearly.
Is Pillar better than Stan Store?
Pillar does more: a course builder, invoicing, a media kit and, on Entrepreneur, event tickets, buy now pay later and a custom domain. Stan Store is simpler and cheaper, $29 a month with 0% fees, but it has no custom domain at any tier. If you only sell a few products, Stan is cheaper; if you need your own domain, Stan is out.
Can I move my products from Pillar to ExclusiveLink?
Yes, by rebuilding them. Each product becomes a paid link that unlocks the file or URL you already deliver, and each lead magnet becomes an email-gated link. A store with five to ten items takes under an hour. Customers who already bought keep whatever Pillar delivered to them.
